are following breaking news out of downtown oakland. police are investigating a fatal shooting. christien kafton is live for us. >> reporter: let me tell you this is a large crime scene. it's spread out over five blocks here in downtown oakland. right now alameda county coroners office is on scene here just about to load the victim into a van to remove him from this scene. there was a very expensive sports car just about seven or eight minutes ago that expensive sports car was towed out of the area. we have video of what the scene looked like earlier. police say they responded to the scene around 3:00 this morning and found the dead man in the street with numerous shell casings around him. and there is another scene just about a block away with more shell casings there and a half block away again that very expensive sports car. it looked like ans aton martin vintage. that sports car is certainly part of this investigation. we saw investigators looking over it with flashlight and trying to get a little bit more information about that. as mike said a couple moments ago, this shooting happened when

oakland police are turning to the public for help. authorities are working on tracking down the suspect who shot and killed a san francisco man early this morning. kron 4's scott rates walks us through what happened. >> reporter: this call was about one block ago. at the oakland police department at this intersection at clay /ninth and ninth street. around 3:00 a.m.. shots were fired and this man was shot multiple times walking on this intersection. investigators believe that it was an occupant inside another car that shot at the driver of the other car. he was taken to the hospital where he died. hwe know that he is a 37 year-old man. we checked with the oakland police department and we are hoping for some type of witness that can come forward. we are offering a $10,002 reward. scott rates, kron 4. >> a big pay off for voters in san jose. tomorrow, the city's minimum wage will go up two dollars.that goes for both part-time and full-time employees. it also includes those working for tips. kron four's philippe djegal shows us how it all adds up. >> reporter: so, this is how it works. and

the bucket. 63 degrees in napa 63 in red wood city and 64 in oakland as well as an jobbing -- antioch. this is the strongest i have seen this breeze in a few days. tomorrow we will wake up with morning low clouds and the on shore breeze will continue and cooler air will be pooling in, in time for monday. this system here 655 miles off the coastline is not going to bring us any rain but it will bring us a ridge of high pressure through the weekend. as we get through tomorrow, this ridge shifting off to the east, the system that will move closer to the coast is not going to bring us any rain but again will kick up the sea breeze and will bring back the high clouds in the forecast and a cooler week ahead. temperatures for tomorrow afternoon are cooler than what we had today and the trend will continue as we get into tuesday and wednesday. here is the forecast model, a few clouds are hanging off the coastline and they will be hanging back as we get into tonight and tomorrow morning and we will wake up with low clouds and high country will continue for the afternoon. i will back it up and

of an oakland woman. friends and family held a visual for erica maska-leris snide. she has not been seen since last thursday and family members say that it is just not like her to disappear without talking to them. friends and family are searching the neighborhood where she was last seen. >> the only clue, a blurry image on this surveillance video. you can see her at the top of your screen. it shows her walking cars that morning on 34 and telegraph in oakland. her family will hold a news conference at 10:30 a.m. this morning. volunteers are also expected to be out searching the malls would park in west oakland. >> the house armed services committee is calling for a full investigation into dropped rape charges against a man who fatally shot to santa cruz police officers. congresswoman jackie speier from san mateo, is calling for a capitol hill hearing on why charges into a army court marshals brought against the jeremy goulet in 2006 were dropped in exchange for a " less than honorable " discharge. goulet had been accused of raping two women several years ago. goulet shot and killed santa cruz

'll be doing some critical work on the new oakland airport connector kron 4's charles clifford shows us what it will mean for drivers. >> reporter: this is a google earth map. starting saturday morning, bart will begin installing new railways over instate 880...here... just west of hegenberger road. this is part of the ongoing work to complete the new oakland airport connector. in order to finish the work, crews will first need to shutdown the two lefthand lanes of north bound 880 starting at 11am on saturday morning. that closure will last all day on saturday. then from 1am until 6am on sunday morning, caltrans will completely shutdown all northbound lanes of 880 at hegenberger road. the southbound lanes will remain open. cars travelling north can detour around the closure by first exiting 880 at hegenberger road. then they will have to turn left onto edes avenue, cross over hegenberger and continue along coliseum way. they will then drive past oracle arena and the coliseum before merging back onto northbound 880 just past 66th avenue. now this weekend's closures, will be repeated the follo
